Moose is Looking for his Forever Home

Hi! I'm Moose. I'm a 2 1/2 yr old Bernese Mtn Dog. (DOB 7/12/17) I am papered with the AKC, and UTD on all of my vet work. I am a happy, healthy guy. I am looking for a new home because I'm a bit bossy, and need to be the center of attention. My current family has lots of young kids, cats, and love! But they also have another boy dog, and that's stressful for me. I steal his food and won't let him play with the toys. I also don't like when other people pet him. I want all the love to myself. When the other dog is gone, I'm perfect. I love kids of all ages and I'm very gentle with babies. I think cats are weird, but I never chase them. I love to sleep by the door and guard the house. I don't chew on furniture, and I'm housebroken. I love walks and the dog park, where I love to play with other dogs. I like balls and will play fetch. I like riding in the front seat of a car, and I am a gem to groom! I am a vocal, so I'll let you know how excited I am to go outside, but I'm never aggressive towards people.

Moose's Mom, Kate-

Moose is such a great dog! He simply needs a home where he can be the big guy on campus. He's feeling threatened by our teenager Bernese/Golden retriever, Owen, who recently grew a LOT bigger than Moose. Moose can be a bit of a bully to Owen, who is becoming withdrawn. We want to help Moose be able to live life well without feeling like he may be usurped by a younger pup!

Moose would be great in a home with kids, cats, and other calm, older dogs, preferably female. He loves to snuggle and be close to people. He really doesn't have any vices, except a bit of vocalization when he gets excited about going out. He'll prance by the door and woowoowoo at you. He's good off leash, at dog parks, in the car, at the dog play dates. We've never crated him, but he respects a baby gate, and will stay in the kitchen by the door when we're out of the house for a period of time. He's a good guard dog, but doesn't jump or harass house guests. He uses a no-pull chest harness really well.

Moose lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is UTD on his vet work, and is microchipped. He has no known medical issues. We do not transport our Berners, adopter will need to travel to Moose's home and pick him up. His adoption fee is $450.00.
