Our dear sweet Elsie is ready to start looking for a forever home to call her own. Elsie had been a stray before landing in comfy foster home. She is believed to be around a year old. She is up to date on vaccines, taking flea,tick and heart worm prevention, has a microchip, and weighs 63 lbs. She will be spayed on July 29th and will be ready to travel to her forever home once she has healed from surgery around August 10th or so.
Here is what Elsie's foster family has to say about her:
Elsie is super sweet! She loves to cuddle with you! And in true Berner fashion, she will sit on your lap! She loves our lake, well she loves to splash in the water. She loves being outside even in this awful heat, you have to bring her inside or she will stay outside all day long.
She prefers humans over other dogs but could really use a well balanced confident dog in her forever home. This would help her learn the ropes and build her confidence. She would prefer her humans home more than not. She can get nervous when left alone.
She loves to run, a fenced in yard would be perfect for her. But do not worry, if no fence, she loves her walks as well. And if you do not have a fenced in yard, she will need several long walks a day. She is young, so she is full of energy.
She loves her treats! She loves her meals so much she eats very quickly.
Like any young pup, she is learning and has lots to still learn. She is potty trained. She is learning manners. She will counter surf and get in things she probably shouldn't.
She is not a fan of cats or small animals. So no cats please. She will chase wildlife if allowed.
If you are looking for a young, sweet, cuddle buddy, Elsie is for you. Like any young Berner she is a work in progress and her forever family will need to keep teaching her and working with her.
Elsie is located in Columbia, South Carolina. We do not transport our Berners, adopter should plan to travel to our foster home to pick up Elsie. Her adoption fee is $500.00.
