Miss Bliss, 20 month old Bernese Mountain Dog is ready for a forever home to call her own. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and has a microchip. She is a tiny little thing of 51 pounds. She does have some growing and filing out to do.
Bliss spent her short life in a backyard breeding situation. Berners like Bliss are used to produce Bernedoodles. No more! This girl deserves the best that life has to offer and nothing but love going forward.
She would love to share her home with another dog that will play with her. She loves to play with dogs in the home.
She is extremely shy of humans. Her foster works with her daily. Each week she takes a few steps forward with being comfortable inside a home and with humans. Her adopter will need to be patient and understand that she needs time and positive reinforcement training to move forward.
She loves food and treats! She is very food motivated which helps so much with earning her trust.
She walks really well on a leash now and enjoys multiple walks a day.
She is considered a flight risk. Her foster never allows her outside without a leash. In time and once she trust her people and home, she might be able to be trusted in a fenced in yard without a leash but that will most likely be months down the road.
She is crate trained and loves her crate. Her crate is her safe spot and the spot she goes to when nervous or unsure of something. We highly recommend her adopter use a crate and continue using it the same as her foster has done.
Bliss is smart, sweet, young and playful. Fireworks and thunder to not bother her. She will make a great family companion. Miss Bliss just needs time and patience, a family to work with her to move her forward.
Bliss is located in McCormick, South Carolina. We do not transport our Berners. Adopter should plan to travel to our foster home to pick up Bliss. Adoption donation is $450.00. If interested in potentially adopting Bliss please complete our adoption application and submit to info@bfwrescue.org.
